Description We are in the search for a skilled Medical Billing Specialist to join our team in the healthcare industry, located in STATEN ISLAND, New York. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be tasked with managing customer accounts and resolving inquiries, processing customer credit applications, and maintaining accurate customer records, all while providing excellent customer service. This opportunity offers a long term contract employment. Responsibilities: • Handle customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency • Maintain precise and up-to-date customer credit records • Monitor customer accounts and perform necessary actions when required • Resolve customer inquiries promptly and professionally • Administer and manage billing functions • Handle and resolve accounts receivable issues • Perform claim administration duties • Manage appeals process as necessary • Oversee various benefit functions • Utilize Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE), EHR SYSTEM, and Epaces in daily tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in using Allscripts software for managing and organizing patient data • Familiarity with Cerner Technologies, a widely used healthcare information system • Knowledge of Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) for data communication between applications • Experience in working with EHR (Electronic Health Records) System for efficient patient information management • Ability to work with Epaces, an electronic billing system for healthcare services • Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure timely payment of invoices • Experience in handling Appeals to resolve disputes related to medical billing • Understanding of Benefit Functions to ensure patients receive the health benefits they are entitled to • Knowledge of Billing Functions, including invoicing, collection and reporting • Experience in Claim Administration to process and manage health insurance claims.
