In addition, DPHHS is the largest state agency with a wide range of advancement opportunities whether you are joining the workforce or have several years of experience. *Qualifications for this Career Opportunity*** * * * Working knowledge of medical billing terminology and inpatient/outpatient billing. * Ability to examine, evaluate, interpret, and apply procedural rules regarding claims and statements. * Ability to operate a personal computer and general office equipment as necessary to complete essential functions, including ten-key calculator, spreadsheets, word processing, database, E-mail, Internet, and other computer programs. * Meet minimum qualifications: o High school diploma or GED. o Four years work experience in accounting, accounts receivable, billing, and collecting in a medical business. o Experience with insurance and Medicare billing required. o Experience in medical terminology is required. o Proficient with computers including word processing and spreadsheet software. o Other combinations of education, experience, medical licenses or certifications may be considered on a case-by-case basis. * * *How to Apply*** To be considered for a DPHHS position, submit the following required documents with your application on the State of Montana Careers website.
