The successful candidate will handle a computerized cash register and perform basic bookkeeping transactions. Medical Center Cashier Pay and Benefits:

Hourly pay: $25Worksite: One of the most prestigious and well-known universities (West Hills, CA 91307)W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL40 hours/week, 4 month assignment

Medical Center Cashier Responsibilities:

Handle a computerized cash register.Manage changes, and currency, and recognize counterfeit bills easily.Perform basic bookkeeping transactions, as well as basic math in order to maintain accurate and legible cash logs.

Medical Center Cashier Qualifications:

High School Diploma (Minimum education level).Able to read, speak, and understand English in order to write memos, and to read and understand policies and procedures relevant to employment in the department.Ability to interact with both internal and external customers in a high volume operation, with diplomacy, and patience.Mathematical skills to ensure accuracy in calculating and generating deposits and postings according to University Policy.Knowledge of and adherence to all departmental, University, and Hospital policies as relevant to cash handling procedures.Ability to function fully as a team member, participating in on-going performance improvement projects.Ability to stand, bend, walk, reach, lift, push and pull for prolonged periods of time in hot or cold areas.Ability to lift, push, or pull 50+lbs.Knowledge of and adherence to all safety and sanitation procedures as outlined by JC and HACCP standards, and all departmental work rules such as applies to attendance, punctuality, dress code, and removal of University property.

Medical Center Cashier Shift:

M-F Shifts: 5:30-2:00 PM, 11:30-8:00 PM.Weekends/Holidays: 5:30-2:00 PM, 4:00-8:00 PM, 11:30-8:00 PM (based on operational need)Shift rotates based on operational needs.
