Job Title: Medical Chart Abstractor - Oncology

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Chart Abstractor with a strong history in oncology. This role involves reviewing patient charts, abstracting vital information, and entering data into electronic case forms. The ideal candidate will have a valid Registered Nurse license, extensive oncology experience, and proficiency in using multiple computer systems.

ResponsibilitiesReview and abstract vital patient information from medical charts.Work within oncology specialties.Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.Enter information based on specific questions into electronic case forms.Utilize multiple computer systems such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.Essential SkillsValid Registered Nurse license.Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology (ideal is 5 years).Minimum of 2 years of abstraction experience.Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic and eClinicalWorks.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience as a clinical research nurse with abstraction and patient care is highly desirable.Work Environment

This is a fully remote position requiring candidates to reside in the United States and have a valid U.S. license. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Candidates must provide their own monitor and keyboard, though a laptop will be supplied. Proficiency in navigating computers and using software like Microsoft Office and Excel is essential.
