Medical Claims Analyst
Description We are initiating a search for a Medical Claims Analyst in Flint, Michigan. This role operates within the healthcare industry and is focused on analyzing and processing medical claims. The successful candidate will be joining our team in a bustling office environment and will play a key role in maintaining the efficiency of our operations. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Efficiently processing medical credit applications • Maintaining precise records of customer credits • Resolving customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner • Monitoring customer accounts and taking necessary actions • Accurately assigning CPT-4 and HCPCS codes to outpatient medical records • Verifying, modifying, and abstracting patient data to meet organizational standards • Understanding and implementing changes in coding and classification systems • Utilizing available resources for understanding and accurately assigning codes • Collaborating with medical providers to identify appropriate ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes • Educating medical providers on the appropriate documentation to support all codes captured in the electronic health record. • Performing other related duties as assigned. Requirements • Candidate should possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in the role of a Medical Claims Analyst. • Familiarity and proficiency with Cerner Technologies is a must. • Experience with the CMS Platform is required. • The applicant should have a strong background in Appeals. • Knowledge of Billing Functions is essential for this role. • Prior experience in Claim Administration is necessary. • Proficiency in Coding is required. • The candidate should be a certified Coding Specialist.
