Description We are in search of a Medical Claims Representative for our operations in Wethersfield, Connecticut. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity within the healthcare industry. As a Medical Claims Representative, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities including claim administration, billing functions, and appeals. Responsibilities: • Oversee the claim administration process, ensuring all claims are processed accurately and efficiently. • Handle billing functions, making sure that all invoices are sent out timely and accurately. • Manage appeals, investigating any discrepancies and making necessary adjustments. • Maintain accurate customer credit records, updating information as necessary. • Monitor customer accounts and initiate appropriate action when necessary. • Assist in collection processes, ensuring all due payments are collected in a timely manner. Requirements • Proficiency in handling appeals processes, including the ability to evaluate, respond to, and resolve various types of appeals. • Comprehensive knowledge of billing functions, with the ability to accurately process invoices, manage patient accounts, and address billing discrepancies. • Expertise in claim administration, including the ability to manage, process, and track medical claims effectively. • Familiarity with collection processes, demonstrating the ability to manage debt recovery and maintain positive relations with patients during collection activities.
