As our Medical Coder, you will review clinical documentation and diagnostic results to accurately assign ICD-10 and CPT codes including facility E/M codes for accurate and timely billing for our patients. To thrive in this role, you must have an active CPC or CCS, RHIT or RHIA coding certificate.
This is a full-time, onsite position in Waverly, Tennessee
Here’s what you will experience working as a Medical Coder:
Assign accurate codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers) for diagnoses, treatments, and procedures for new charges, denials, and claim edits while meeting daily quotas with 95% accuracy
Audit infusion, injection and hydration charges for ED charts
Enter and validate codes, charges and other edits; verify and correct documentation
Adhere to Standards of Ethical Coding by AHIMA and AAPC
Communicate with other departments to provide coding guidance
Required Skills:
HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent
Active CPC or CCS, RHIT or RHIA
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $14.69 - $21.27 per hour .
