What You'll Do

As the Medical Director of Breast Surgery, you will:

Split your time .8 FTE clinical and .2 FTE administrative, balancing hands-on patient care with strategic leadership responsibilities.Supervise and mentor a team of surgeons and advanced practice providers dedicated to breast health.Oversee daily operations of the Breast Surgery Department, managing scheduling, performance evaluations, and quality assurance.Lead initiatives to standardize care protocols, monitor key metrics, and drive quality improvements across Rochester General Hospital and the Rochester Regional Health system.Represent the department in hospital committees, community outreach, and media relations as a trusted leader and spokesperson.Collaborate with hospital administration on strategic planning, budgeting, and enhancing the performance of the Breast Surgery Department.

What You Bring

Board Certification: Required in General Surgery with fellowship training in Breast Surgery or Surgical Oncology.Licensure: Active New York State medical license (or eligibility).Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in breast surgery. Leadership experience preferred.Commitment: Passion for delivering exceptional patient care and inspiring teams to excel under your leadership.Vision: A focus on quality, efficiency, and innovation that drives system-wide improvements.Collaboration: Ability to build strong partnerships within the health system and the community, including oncology and radiology teams.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant.
