As Medical Director for CARICAM (based in Panamá), you will manage all the Medical functions and demonstrate strong Medical leadership and accountability for overall Medical governance within the cluster countries across GSK Pharma and Vaccines portfolio, You will drive the implementation of the local medical affairs plan, providing critical insights and supporting the development of commercial strategies of CARICAM. Medical Affairs Planning: Lead the Medical Department in the provision of high quality Medical and Scientific strategic input and insights to the Pharma and Vaccines business and ensure successful execution of the Medical Plans to the desired outcomes and timelines. Patient Safety & Scientific standards: Ensure patient safety by overseeing all related issues and maintaining high scientific standards and compliance with relevant codes, policies, and regulations. Technical Expertise: Provide scientific expertise, insights and guidance into market access and reimbursement plans, ensuring alignment with global strategies. Evidence Generation: To ensure appropriate medical governance oversight and risk management for all Clinical studies conducted in the country, and that subjects and patients are not placed at unnecessary risk. Scientific Communication: To ensure HCPs (and patients where appropriate) have the correct information to allow evidence-based use of GSK products, and to ensure these are in line with GSK standards and values and are therefore in the patient’s best interests. External Engagement: Develop and implement an external engagement plan drawing on global strategies and plans, and provide scientific support to commercial colleagues in their interactions with external experts. Requirements: Basic Qualifications: Medical degree Experience in Medical Affairs, including launch/pre-launch requirements, with knowledge of regulatory, market access, and reimbursement requirements. Languages: Fluent in Spanish & English Preferred qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Medical degree in Respiratory Medicine, Cardiology, or Pharmaceutical Medicine Experience in managing individual and team performance and leading change initiatives Budgeting and forecasting expertise Ability to assess evidence generation needs and review investigator-sponsored studies for scientific merit Strong internal and external networking skills Demonstrated leadership, commercial and financial acumen, enterprise thinking, patient-centric decision-making, and commitment to significantly impact business and patient outcomes.
