ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for Medical Director:
Responsible for all clinical decisions at the facilityEnsures all clinical needs are being met within the facilityProvides direct and indirect basic medical care to meet the physiological and emotional needs of the patientsConducts rounds in the medical and infirmary unitsPerforms sick call visits, and manages chronic careResponds to and initiates care for medical emergenciesLeads efforts to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of healthcare servicesCoordinates, leads and participates in educational and training activitiesMay supervise Staff Physicians and other medical staff Performs other related duties as needed QualificationsQualifications for Medical Director:
Be licensed as a physician in the ORPossess a current DEA registrationCurrently certified in a Board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties A valid CPR cardProgressive administrative/management training in primary care in corrections and/or managed health care delivery preferred.We know you may have questions before applying.
