Job Description



The Medical Director China will develop and implement the medical strategy for China

Identification, approach and relationship building with KOLS and other relevant stakeholder in the marketResponsibility for medical-scientific projectsPro-active investigation for medical needs and potentialsMedical Insight Generation - translate medical knowledge for the commercial teamDesign, coordinate and implement business-relevant clinical studies with key centres/KOLsCooperation with CROs project-relatedPoint of expertise for marketing - Consulting with regards to the marketing campaigns and materialMarketing material releaseMedical trainer for the commercial teamActive participation on congressesLiaison with the international medical teamThe Successful ApplicantScientific (PhD) or Medical degree (preferably) in a recognised disciplineA minimum of 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience; track record in Medical Director roleBreadth of experience in different therapeutic areas; desirable with rare disease experienceKnowledge and experience in project managementExpertise in the Chinese Health Care Market is a must; experience with rare disease desirableExperience in building up sustainable relationship with KOLs and further relevant stakeholder across Chinese mainland regionExpertise in setting up and designing clinical studies with KOLs and in collaborating with CROsAbility to translate medical knowledge for the commercial teams and to set up trainings accordinglyExcellent presentation skills supporting the ability to liaise with business partners and to present ideas and strategiesOutstanding negotiation skills with a good sense for the combination of medicine, business and people; strong in decision-makingDrive communication and negotiations with an empathetic, involving, however confident way; intercultural competence supports professional cooperation and know-how transfer/exchange within an international structureProactive approachIntegrity and a flexible mindsetFluent in Mandarin and EnglishWhat's on OfferWorking together with a group of passionate, international team with the dedication and commitment in rare disease treatmentRespectful, dynamic, collaborative cultureGreat career advancement opportunity to grow with the business in China to fulfill the unmet clinical needs in respective diseaseContactAnita YangQuote job refJN-062024-6465684Job summaryFunctionOperational & General ManagementSubsectorOperational & General Management SubsectorIndustryLife SciencesLocationShanghaiContract typePermanentConsultant nameAnita YangJob referenceJN-062024-6465684Save JobApplyAbout Page Executive
