**Job Summary:**
Provides planning, support and management of diagnostic, treatment, and patient support equipment. Responsible for managing entire equipment projects where the construction scope is limited within the room or the construction scope is minor.
**Job Responsibilities and Requirements:**
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Responsible for providing medical equipment planning support for assigned projects.
+ Creates preliminary equipment list and makes updated edits as required, assisting with facilitating user group meetings, and supporting the procurement management process.
+ Works in partnership with system Vendor Management and IHT Teams, develops medical equipment standards for the system, prepares and assembles medical equipment specifications / cut sheets. Negotiate pricing and try to bundle purchases for larger discounts with supply chain and capital request. Assist and coordinates with IHT team to replace existing servers, get new devices on the hospital network including; establishing network information, what clinical network segment to be used, connecting equipment to PACs integrating devices with EPIC and other systems as required.
+ Participate and review design documents for equipment placement and selection to obtain final vendor quotes and prepare procurement documentation. Identify vendor and department staging space requirements during building fit-up and work with the hospital project team to schedule, assign and secure staging space.
+ Coordinate with architectural & engineering firms, internal planning, Design & Construction, vendors and IHT as required to determine installation and removal of medical equipment. Including walking the removal and installation path, scheduling dates, working with security to block off necessary areas.
+ Utilize and develop standards defined through equipment governance group, assist clinical staff with the selection of medical equipment and ancillary items that fits their needs.
+ Develop a five-year equipment replacement plan for region as well as medical equipment lists and budgets for all regional medical equipment.
+ Works with vendors to quote equipment, schedule installation and setup, control the timing of the delivery to have when it’s needed.
+ Coordinate with Biomed to determine schedule for the method for asset tagging and inventorying, ensuring the process is integrated into the logistics planning.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.

+ Bachelor's degree
EXPERIENCE
+ Seven years' experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
+ Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
+ Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
+ Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
+ Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
+ Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
+ Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
+ Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
+ Rare climbing.
