Medical Illustrator Location United States Job Code 13488 # of openings 1 Apply Now (https://phg.tbe.taleo.net/phg04/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=AKIMEKATECH&cws=43&rid=13488) The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a qualified Medical Illustrator to provide support to our government customer remotely. DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITITES: + Create highly detailed, colored and black and white, medical illustrations for medical trauma course curriculum, guidebooks, slide sets, and note-taking devices. + Create simulation models as needed for teaching trauma care. + Collaborate with the medical illustrator at the Uniformed Services University as needed. + Other duties assigned by Supervisor REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: Masters Degree - Medical Illustration REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: + Good working knowledge of relevant science to include biology, chemistry, genetics, gross anatomy, histology, neuroanatomy, pathology, and physiology. + Digital skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe CC suite, Autodesk Fusion 360, Savage Interactive Procreate and Redshift. + Superior photography skills. DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Additional digital skills with software such as Maxon Cinema 4D, Pixologic Zbrush and Osirix/Horos and or Chimera are desirable.
