Our client is a global healthcare company providing cutting edge diagnostic testing to make a difference! We are seeking a Medical Lab Scientist to join their growing team! **Pay rate:** $22- $36/ hr. **Type of job:** Contract- 3 months **Location:** Spokane, WA **Responsibilities:** + Evaluate specimen acceptability for testing based on established criteria. + Execute routine and complex technical procedures following departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). + Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to ensure proper functionality. + Make informed technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving. + Prepare and assess new reagents or controls for testing. + Report accurate and timely test results to support quality patient care. + Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures. + Identify and restock testing bench supplies as necessary. + Assist with specimen processing when required. + Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols. **Requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or compliance with local regulatory (CLIA, state) requirements. + 0-2 years of clinical laboratory testing experience. + State Medical Technologist license may be required (listed in specific job postings). + ASCP or AMT certification preferred or required (listed in specific job postings). + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. + Proficiency in computer use; familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus. + High attention to detail with strong communication and organizational skills. + Ability to pass a standardized color vision screening. + Flexibility to work overtime or alternate shifts as needed. \#LI-DNP We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
