Medical Lab Tech - Traditional PRN
Community Health Systems
Medical lab techs are expected to perform manual and automated routine blood tests and prepare specimens for microscope examination. The medical lab tech will operate laboratory equipment including centrifuges, dry bath incubators, and blood bank refrigerators. Medical lab techs are expected to rely on experience and judgment to plan, accomplish goals, and perform a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The medical lab tech typically reports to the supervisor or manager.
**Education:** Graduate of an accredited MLT program and passing a national exam given by the Board of Registry of the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
**Experience:** Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
