If you have expertise in laboratory testing and a passion for contributing to public health, we want you to help us deliver critical diagnostic and disaster relief. **Contra Costa County, CA** **Pay:** 41-51/hr **Key Responsibilities:** + Conduct laboratory testing for infectious diseases and interpret clinical results, including identifying trends and making comparisons. + Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with public health and healthcare professionals, as well as internal partners. + Make time-sensitive decisions in complex situations, prioritizing and managing multiple tasks with reliability and integrity. **Daily Responsibilities** : + Collecting and preparing samples for testing. + Utilizing droplet digital PCR/RT PCR techniques as instructed. + Performing routine laboratory tests and procedures. + Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment. + Recording and analyzing test results. + Maintaining accurate and detailed laboratory records. + Participating in quality assurance and quality control procedures. + Communicating test results to physicians and healthcare professionals. + Assisting in the development and implementation of new laboratory procedures. + Calibrating and troubleshooting lab instruments while complying with preventative maintenance schedules. + Ensuring lab cleanliness and organization. + Monitoring and ordering lab supplies under the direction of the lab supervisor. **Experience:** + BS Degree or MLT certification. + Experienced in running ddPCR or RT-PCR. + Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment. + Highly detail-oriented. + Strong communication skills.
