Position Summary:
Performs maintenance, calibration and quality control in a wide variety of clinical laboratory setting. Performs analysis on blood and other body fluids. Reviews and analyzes data from calibration, quality control and patient testing. Testing will include that defined as “waived” or “moderately complex”. Treats healthcare providers, patients and co-workers professionally with an eye towards achieving a high level of customer service and satisfaction. May assist in training students and new staff. Manages supplies and inventory. If Team Lead, responsible for evaluation of quality control data, calibration data, proficiency testing and instruments maintenance records within their specific department.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree in clinical laboratory science from an accredited college or university OR equivalentMontana Licensure (Clinical Laboratory Technician License)If Team Lead, at least two years’ experience as a laboratory scientist or laboratory technicianPreferred: Certified Medical Laboratory Technologist or Technician (ASCP)Essential Job Functions:
