**Overview** Work in the heart of _\#humankindess_ at CHI Mercy Health Valley City. Working as a Medical Laboratory Scientist at our Critical Access Hospital, you'll perform a wide range of technical procedures analyzing blood and various body fluids in order to expedite the physician’s diagnosis and treatment of patients. You'll assist with quality audits in accordance with accrediting agencies. Technical duties will include routine patient testing, phlebotomy, complex red cell antibody identification, and preparation of blood components for transfusion. We are always just down the road and have offered services for decades. **Responsibilities** + Develops and maintains a service orientation in performing duties with fellow employees, patients, medical staff and visitors. + Has operational responsibility for the clinical/technical aspects of a section of the laboratory. + Performs job duties of Medical Technologist; performing a variety of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic procedures of a moderately and highly complex nature, following established standards and practices to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. **Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in a biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA. + MLS (ASCP) or equivalent: Med Tech (Medical Tech), Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS), Medical Lab Scientist (MLS), Medical Lab Technologist (MLT). + Licensed Med Tech in the state of North Dakota. + Must be appropriately trained in clinical laboratory science as evaluated by the Director of the Clinical Laboratory **Pay Range** $27.17 - $39.40 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
