As a Medical Laboratory Scientist I, you support our life saving mission by providing skilled technical support in the laboratory as you perform high complexity Blood Bank testing for patients.

Schedule: Evenings 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM Mon-Fri (rotates weekends)

We’re looking for someone who can:

Perform high complexity testing including stem cell processing, CBC differentials, antibody identification, antigen screens, cross match, absorptions, and elutionPerform moderate complexity testing in the lab for quality control of components, single donor platelet yields, and automated red cell technology problemsReview and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations.Prepare blood products/components including irradiation and pooling.Provide technical support to hospital transfusion services

You are looking for variety in your responsibilities each day.Bachelor's degree in biology, Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent (must receive MLS certification within 6 months of eligibility) or  Bachelor’s degree in approved Science (Biology, Chemistry, etc) and currently possess certification from an accredited agency as MT/MLS State licensure as required by regulations 

 Experience 

0-2 years of relevant laboratory experience meeting Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist educational requirements
