Medical Laboratory Technician/Scientist Plains, MT Full Time Laboratory Experienced Position: Medical Laboratory Technician/Scientist (Night Shift) Clark Fork Valley Hospital is seeking a motivated and team-oriented individual to join the laboratory team. This role involves performing laboratory tests, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining high standards in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: + Specimen Collection & Preparation:Collect, handle, and properly label patient specimens. + Lab Testing:Conduct laboratory tests to identify normal and abnormal components. + Result Reporting:Record and report test results in a clear and timely manner. + Accuracy & Review:Review test results and worksheets to ensure accuracy. + Quality Control:Perform quality control and proficiency testing. + Maintenance:Carry out preventative maintenance on laboratory instruments. + Infection Control & Safety:Adhere to hospital policies on infection prevention, safety, and personnel. + Critical Results:Identify and report critical results to the appropriate personnel. + Instrument Verification:Verify instrument function, perform calibrations, and document corrective actions. + Training:Train new employees and students in laboratory procedures. + Multi-tasking:Handle multiple tasks during heavy workloads, managing both "STAT" and routine tests. Qualifications: + Education:Associate’s degree in a relevant field, or six months to one year of related experience or training. + Licensure:Must possess a current Montana CLT (Clinical Laboratory Technician) license. Schedule & Benefits: + Schedule:Night shift, 36-40 hours per week. + Benefits:Eligible for the full-time benefits package.
