SUMMARY OF JOB Answering high volume of emergency & routine calls promptly, taking accurate messages for our Physician offices (from Physicians, nurses, hospitals, nursing home staff, patients, etc). Inputting messages into the correct on call account (in our Amtelco Software Program) by documenting details of call according to custom message ticket prompts. Prioritize and dispatch calls to their appropriate destination without delay. Also responsible for updating on call information/schedules at any given time. Must be able to take and follow directions from Physicians and/or their office personnel. Performs other office related duties as required. CONNECTING TO MISSION: All individuals are responsible to perform their job in light of the Mission & Values of Redeemer Health. In this particular position employees have the ongoing responsibility to treat all with whom we interact with respect and compassion. Stewardship and Collaboration need also present in the service we provide. RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS - High School graduate or equivalent. - Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum of 35wpm) along with basic computer knowledge. - Excellent verbal, listening and communication skills (speaks clearly and professional). - Excellent reading/comprehension skills. - 1-2 years Office, Telephone or Customer Service experience needed. - Prior Healthcare experience preferred. - Knowledge of medical terminology preferred (but not required). - Flexible schedule a plus as department is 24/7. - Must be available for every other weekend and every other Holiday.
