Job Title: Medical Office AssistantJob Description Join a dynamic cardiology office as a Medical Office Assistant, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations. This full-time position offers a consistent schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Responsibilities + Schedule patient appointments efficiently to ensure optimal patient flow. + Answer phone calls and provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers. + Assist with insurance verifications to ensure smooth billing processes. + Utilize electronic health records and Epic software for accurate patient documentation. Essential Skills + Proficiency in medical office operations. + Experience with electronic health record systems. + Strong communication skills for phone and face-to-face interactions. + Ability to manage scheduling and insurance verification tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Familiarity with cardiology practices is an advantage. + No specific licenses are required for this role. Work Environment This role is based in a moderately busy cardiology office with a team of three full-time providers and two part-time providers. Patient appointments are scheduled every 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the provider. The office fosters a friendly and team-oriented environment, making it an ideal place for collaboration and personal growth. The dress code is professional attire. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Danbury, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
