**Medical Office Receptionist – Family Care** _Fast-paced, high volume Family Care department is looking for top skilled Medical Office Receptionist. **Here’s What You Need**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
+ Six months of Healthcare experience in a Clinical Setting (PREFERRED) **_OR_**
+ Six months of Customer Service experience in a Clinical Setting or Office environment (PREFERRED)
**A successful Medical Office Receptionist will**
+ Be an outgoing individual with a friendly attitude
+ Must be able to multitask in a high paced environment and always maintain the Texas Health Promise Principles with patients and staff.
+ Have strong attention to detail
+ Be able to multi-task front desk job responsibilities for a busy Family Practice/Internal Medicine Clinic
+ Must have outstanding communication, interpersonal, customer service, patience, and organizational skills
+ Have knowledge of insurance authorization/billing requirements
**What You Will Do**
+ Delivers care to patients utilizing the Medical Office Receptionist Process
+ Under direct supervision, performs patient check-in at the time of visit and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and all clinic and regulatory policies are in compliance.
+ Answers phone calls and directs them appropriately.
+ Schedules appointments according to office guideline.
+ Obtains accurate patient and insurance information, collecting copays and deductible amounts.
+ Copies/scans patient access related hard copy materials (e.g., ID, referrals, insurance cards, etc.)
