Responsibilities Schedule surgical cases, arteriograms, and other testing as ordered by physicians. Document scheduled cases/testing into electronic health record. Give patient complete instructions for procedures and testing and document confirmation of such. Oversees efforts for recruitment, development, and performance evaluation of employees. Approve employee timecards bi-weekly. Address PTO request and arrange coverage for staff PTO. Coordinate surgeon vacation coverage with Memorial clinic manager. Send call schedule to Baptist monthly and update as needed Schedule meetings for Dr. Horsley Send AAA letters to referring and PCP offices Communicate with dialysis units monthly regarding outstanding referrals, OV, access center or surgical needs and if patients are referred to outside facility for dialysis intervention. Follow up with PCP office regarding referral decrease. Developed training guideline for incoming point people, assist with new workflow, programs and/or processes for coworkers n office. Communicate/educate PCP and or referring offices regarding vascular diagnosis to acquire referrals and educate office staff on test/diagnosis. Educate on sending proper orders for vein mapping. Schedule televisits – walk patients through downloading app and assist with Phreesia as needed. Review and add medications at time of scheduling. Review consultation notes and progress notes from Orange Park. Renal patients – e-mail surgery instructions to dialysis unit PA, fax surgery instructions to dialysis unit and send to patient. Reminder calls for PACE appointments. Load images for reps as needed. Notify answering service of any changes to physician call schedule Enter recalls in system as required. Schedule follow up recall appointments for testing Receive calls from referring physicians and coordinate patient transfers as ordered by physician Take hospital consults and call to physician and/or physician assistant. Answer phones as needed. Conference physicians as needed. Prepare electronic chart for clinic ensuring all information is present for patient consultation. Order films as required for visits. Call patient to schedule new consult appointments as received via fax maker. Scan medical documentation into electronic chart. Answer phones as needed. Maintain information in a confidential manner Participate in compliance training for the office. Maintains knowledge of insurance and compliance requirements in accordance with job related duties, addressing Practice Administrator with issues or concerns requiring clarification Participate in OHSA training for the office Will provide additional support for the Memorial location acting as a secondary to the Clinic Manager at that site. Perform other job duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: High School Graduate, Completion of Medical Assistant certification program preferred Experience: One year in a medical setting. Knowledge of medical terminology. Word processing and computer experience with electronic health records. USD $26.00/Hr. USD $26.00/Hr.
