GENERAL OVERVIEW:
During the three year residency this individual will gain clinical expertise in the technical and leadership aspect of Radiation Oncology under the supervision of a Residency Program Director and faculty.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform quality assurance/control evaluations on radiation producing machines. (40%) Audits and reviews patient's medical charts. (10%) Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies and standards. (10%) Attend educational class including chart rounds, tumor boards, conferences, in-service, and lectures (10%) Supervises and provides training to departmental staff in the application of physics. (10%) Assists with the delivery of patient care for special procedures. (10%) Assists with special clinical R&D projects as assigned. (10%) Performs other duties as assigned or required.QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
Master's or PhD program in Medical Physics or related field required. Upon completion of this residency program the individual will be board eligible. Minimum of 1 publication in medical physics is expected. Graduated from a CAMPEP approved Medical Physics Program.
