Aspirus Ironwood Hospital in Ironwood, MI is seeking a MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST to join our team!

Duties Include: 

Provides leadership and direction to the reception team.Responsible to complete staff schedule and time keeping in a timely fashion. Adjusts staffing appropriately based on clinic needs, volumes and staff requests.Provides instruction to staff regarding software changes, operational processes and EMR usage.Assists in providing direction, coaching and delegation of tasks to patient access team staff.Assesses performance of other receptionists, assesses quality of service, and plans performance improvement activities.Greets, registers and assists patients in a professional manner.Efficiently schedules patient appointments according to established parameters as defined by office policy and procedure.Obtains and maintains complete and accurate registration records.Answers all phone calls, providing routine information to callers and transfers calls to appropriate individual in a courteous and professional manner.

HOURS: This position is Full Time; 1.0 FTE or 80 hours per pay period

Aspirus Ironwood Hospital includes a 25-bed critical access hospital, multi-specialty clinic, satellite clinic in Wisconsin, surgical clinic, walk-in clinic and a home health agency. Ironwood's service area covers approximately 30,000 people. The hospital has a 4 bed ICU, 3 bed OB unit, and 4 surgical units. The emergency department is staffed 24/7 with ER physicians, with approximately 12,000 visits annually. The hospital's inpatient census is 10 patients per day. The outpatient clinic has over 50,000 visits annually.
