Pay for PRN positions is calculated differently than Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and Part-Time positions. PRN Rates depend on the position and other factors, including years of experience, or shift commitment according to the department policy. PRN differential is added in certain positions.

 

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

 

The Medical Record Completion Coordinator is responsible for assisting physicians and other practitioners in achieving timely, accurate, and complete documentation within the medical record. The Medical Record Completion Coordinator monitors assigned deficiencies in the medical record to ensure completion of medical record deficiencies/delinquencies and that they are documented in accordance with regulatory requirements such as CMHS Medical Staff Rules and Regulations and CMHS Policy & Procedures. Ensures that deficiency/delinquency data is entered correctly for tracking and reporting purposes. Medical Staff members are notified and held accountable for deficient and/or delinquent chart completion items per CMHS Policy and Procedure. The Medical Record Completion Coordinator will carry out the medical record completion process if the medical staff member does not complete their documentation in a timely manner per CMHS Policy and Procedure. The Medical Record Completion Coordinator will further support the department needs through assistance in any analyzing or other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)Two (2) years analyzing experience and/or two (2) years medical record deficiency and suspension experienceOne (1) year health information management experience in acute care settingKnowledge of State and Federal regulatory requirements for medical staff documentation

 

Preferred:

 

Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) Meditech EHR utilization experienceCompletion of a medical terminology course Knowledge of terminal digit filing and medical terminology Overview
