Medical Recruitment Associate II

Reporting to the Manager of Medical Recruitment, this role supports the administration, programs, projects, and activities related to the global medical recruitment of doctors, nurses, paramedics, healthcare assistants and public health officers.  The Associate II, Medical Recruitment   assists in the recruitment process by managing applicant tracking, coordinating candidate communications, conducting interviews, and verifying that candidates meet the necessary qualifications, licenses, and experience required for shipboard medical positions. 

The position contributes to talent attraction efforts by developing and executing digital marketing and social media strategies, coordinating campaigns on multiple social medical platforms, trade shows, and other talent retention outlooks to attract high-quality applicants for shipboard medical positions. Through the development of engaging content and analyzing marketing data, the role enhances recruitment strategies and improves candidate engagement, supporting the overall effectiveness of the medical talent acquisition process. 

This role will interface with all brands, medical teams onboard, shoreside health services and public health leaders as well as external vendors that manage our healthcare systems. This includes supporting the North American brands which comprises four global brands with approximately 65+ ships carrying over 10 million guests annually and employing over 100,000 team members.

Essential Functions:

MEDICAL STAFFING RECRUITMENT  Supports the administration, programs, projects, and activities related to the global medical recruitment of doctors, nurses, paramedics, healthcare assistants and public health officers.  Collects, compiles, and analyzes recruitment, staffing, and onboarding data. Tracks candidates through the Applicants Tracking System (ATS), and coordinates candidate statuses with recruiters and hiring managers. Liaises with talent acquisition partners, reconciling and reporting candidate progress, and following up on missing items to expedite recruitment decisions. Supports the review of medical applicants to advance through the selection process in coordination with hiring managers. Conducts structured candidate behavioral and adaptability interviews. Coordinates interview assignments with external recruitment collaborators, including scheduling, report collection, and pre-screening summaries.  Obtains and pre-screens professional reference checks and other pre-employment verifications in the hiring process.  Communicates with candidates, providing updates on their progress, requesting necessary documents, and answering or relaying queries about the selection process, job offers, and onboarding tasks. Extends and tracks acceptance and refusal of job offers extended to medical candidates. Engages new hires in onboarding, guides them through the ATS workflow and connects them with the appropriate onboarding agent or Global Talent Partner.  Monitors and manages communications through shared email boxes for candidates, talent partners, collaborators, and interdepartmental teams.  Follows data privacy and security policies while processing candidate information and using electronic record-keeping systems. TALENT ATTRACTION Assists the manager in researching and selecting marketing strategies to reach potential applicants, including innovative recruitment techniques and tools. Assists in developing and executing targeted digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, including social media to attract qualified candidates for shipboard medical positions. Creates, obtains, edits, and publishes compelling content for different digital platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram to attract potential candidates.  Manages content and engagement on the Corporation’s social media platforms dedicated to medical talent acquisition.  Supports talent partners in recruitment campaigns tailored to hiring needs by reviewing strategy, multimedia materials, and other elements. Assists in organization of public events related to talent acquisition marketing initiatives as directed by the manager. Collects and analyzes data from digital marketing initiatives to evaluate effectiveness, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for improving recruitment strategies and enhancing candidate engagement. QUALITY IMPROVEMENT Supports inter-departmental quality improvement projects. Applies findings of QI initiatives and market research findings to guide and enhance medical talent acquisition efforts. Participates in the development of performance monitoring tools related to talent acquisition.  Participates in quality improvement projects for screening and selecting medical candidates. Monitors expenses and seeks cost-effective solutions to meet departmental goals. AD HOC PROJECTS Provides cross-coverage for other roles as requested by managers. Collaborates with the management team to coordinate and support ad hoc and non-recurring projects. Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Associate degree or equivalent college coursework required, bachelor’s preferred.    Certification in Social Media Marketing, Healthcare Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Marketing Solutions preferred. Certification in Internet Recruitment, Search Engine Optimization and Analytics preferred. 2+ years of work experience with similar scope and responsibilities is required. Advanced college degree may substitute for work experience. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Talent acquisition experience in candidate screening and using digital Applicant Tracking Systems is preferred. Experience in digital marketing strategy and social media platform management is essential. Proficiency in using Microsoft 365, social media marketing platforms from a business perspective and the use of power platforms Strong written, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask, learn new processes, and use critical thinking to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Travel: No or very little travel likely

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. May be requested to work a different shift.

This position is classified as "in-office." As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida from Tuesday through Thursday.  Employees may work from home on Mondays and Fridays. Some positions may require additional in-office time each week and final schedule is determined by your leader.  Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
