Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Medical Scheduler in San Luis Obispo, California. The role is within the healthcare industry and will involve scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and coordinating office resources. Responsibilities: • Communicate effectively with patients to schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments. • Verify and update patient information in the customer database system. • Coordinate the maintenance and conservation of office supplies and equipment. • Use data entry alphanumeric and MS Word skills to maintain accurate medical records. • Resolve patient inquiries related to appointments or medical records. • Monitor and update medical records regularly to ensure accuracy and efficiency. • Coordinate with other team members to ensure smooth operations within the office. • Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy in line with industry standards and practices. • Use strong computer skills to optimize the scheduling process and manage patient information. • Handle any other administrative tasks as required to support the medical team. Requirements • Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent • Proven experience in a similar role such as Medical Scheduler or Administrative Assistant in a healthcare setting would be a plus • Proficient in data entry alphanumeric skills • Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially • Knowledge of medical terminologies and procedures is desirable • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively • Must be detail-oriented and possess strong problem-solving skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Flexibility to work in shifts if required.
