Medical Science Lead, Asia Pacific
The Medical Science Lead provides medical and scientific leadership that fosters evidence generation and dissemination of clinical education and scientific information for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. The Medical Science Lead is a scientific expert that develops professional relationships using a data-driven approach to address clinical and economic needs for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.
The Medical Science Lead is a member of the Global Medical Affairs team and will report to Global Manager Medical Science.
Essential duties and responsibilities
Establish relationships with key opinion leaders, prominent academic and clinical investigators, and leaders of medical and scientific organizations who can contribute to the clinical diagnosis and management of the diseases relating to the portfolio of covered productsEducate healthcare professionals on clinical and economic data supporting the portfolio of productsIdentify and communicate key clinical and research insights from key opinion leaders to internal stakeholders to help formulate research and development strategiesLead internal cross-functional evidence generation and dissemination planning strategies, to include Scientific Congress strategy, publication development, and symposiaCreate literature summaries and white papers for new or relevant publications and support field sales training on such clinical evidenceResponsible for the development and execution of medical affairs initiatives aimed to accelerate market development for assigned platformAlignment of medical, clinical, educational, and health economics strategies with global marketingDevelop and maintain good relationships with internal and external compliance partners in the regionProvide therapeutic area subject matter expertise on medical issues, practice trends, state of evidence, etc. as appropriate to both internal and external customersWork collaboratively with Legal, Regulatory and Compliance teams to ensure all transactions with healthcare professionals and government officials are ethical and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.Essential Qualifications
Ability to assess clinical results, summarize into reports, assist in authoring reports and justifications3+ years' related medical device experience preferred3+ years' clinical or scientific experience preferredExperience with medical and academic centers highly preferredKnowledge of clinical needs in acute and non-acute clinical environments preferredAbility to understand and effectively communicate scientific information; respond to inquiries and address needs of key stakeholdersExcellent oral presentation and written communication skillsAbility and willingness to travelAbility to initiate and maintain relationships throughout the medical communityCore skills

Bachelors degree required. Master’s level degree preferred.
