The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) enables critical customer engagement with Key Medical Experts, HCPs and other relevant customers such that they understand the clinical and scientific narrative for Biogen’s therapies.
The MSL will be responsible, but not only to:
Be the most reliable and credible partner for clients regarding medical and scientific information related to the disease(s) and molecule(s) within your scope of work—both developing and commercialized drugs—to ensure their full understanding and, ultimately, share Biogen’s ambition to advance and promote medical practice in neuroscience.Engage with clients as a trusted and credible medical/scientific expert, enhancing their confidence in making the best short- and long-term clinical decisions for patient care.Adapt discussions and provide the most relevant, credible, and unbiased scientific information to meet the unique needs of each client and their patients, as well as Biogen’s clinical and medical strategies.Understand what is on the clients’ minds, seizing opportunities to guide conversations fluidly towards relevant topics for HCPs, resulting in a holistic scientific exchange that supports Biogen’s medical vision and ambition to advance and promote the best medical practices for patients regarding the disease state and molecules within your scope of work.Focus on building long-term and valued relationships.Develop well-thought-out engagement plans, discuss them with your manager when necessary, and meticulously prepare for each interaction with relevant resources and insightful questions. However, remain dynamic and flexible as needed.Stay updated on therapeutic advances, current research, medical-scientific knowledge, and detailed knowledge of diseases and molecules within your scope of work.Collaborate in a compliant manner with Biogen stakeholders, particularly with the Commercial organizationLead and deliver complex activities to customers to further enhance Biogen’s reputation as a trusted and valued partner to customersQualificationsAdvanced Scientific or Clinical degree is required.Master's degree is mandatory. PharmD or PhD level is desired, not mandatory.Proficiency in English: advanced (fluent preferred).Some experience as an MSL is desirable but not mandatory.Additional InformationAble to travel at least 50% of the time, including ability to travel overnight and occasionally in weekends.Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. Must have authorization and ability to drive a company leased vehicle or rental.Based in São Paulo city, but responsible to cover SP, PR, SC and RS territories.Why Biogen?
