As a Medical Science Liaison, you will act as a regional field medical affairs expert, sharing your knowledge and insights with cross-functional colleagues through a centralized insight gathering process. You will provide technical input into brand and medical activities and support research discussions with clinical leaders in your dedicated region. Join us in shaping the future of healthcare!

Accountabilities

KEE education and capability build to drive class growth (change in prescribing behavior and ability to use innovative medicines)Improve KEE disease area knowledgeBuild KEE capability to use innovative medicinesEngage in account-level cross-functional working with sales and market access colleagues within the boundaries laid down by the ABPI code of practice and the relevant AZ standard operating proceduresRemain up-to-date on therapy advances, product development plans, competitor developments and trials, AZ products, and trial dataStay current on ABPI Code changes and adopt them as required into ways of workingPatient pathway redesignPolicy guideline change and pull throughSupport and/or design initiatives to improve measurable and scalable initiativesMaintain an understanding of the local health economy and how it interacts with patient pathways relevant to their therapy areaProactively champion up-to-date evidence-based treatment guidelines and highlight pertinent patient unmet needs, providing relevant AstraZeneca therapy-specific data when appropriate

Desirable Skills/Experience

Higher degree in science or business subjectKnowledge of relevant therapy areasExperience in the development of clinical trial programs in support of the therapy area portfolio an advantageExperience in account managementKnowledge +/- experience of real-world data projects
