Temporary, Non-BenefitedCompany:Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer CenterDepartment: DermatologyTime Type: Part timeWeekly Hours: 20FTE:0.5Shift: First Shift (United States of America)Summary: This temporary part-time Medical Scribe will collaborate with physicians, patients and clinic staff to facilitate patient flow and ensure accurate and complete medical records. He/she will accompany the physician into the patient exam room to document all physician-directed elements of the patient’s visit in the electronic medical record system to include symptoms, medications, physical exam findings, complete assessment and treatment plan. Medical Scribe documentation includes, but is not limited to; new patient notes, pre-visit intake notes, follow-up notes, consents, procedure notes, inpatient notes. He/she will ensure compliance with all medical practices and procedures to maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient information. When requested by a provider, the Medical Scribe will also be responsible for printing and reviewing past clinic notes to ensure everything needed for the next scheduled appointment is accounted for. The Medical Scribe will participate in extracting information from notes, and data collection when requested to participate in various provider driven projects.Salary range for this position is $16.87 - $20.87 hourly.Qualifications:Required Education and Experience
• 1. Bachelor's degree; or
• 2. Associates degree in a health related field; or
• 3. Associate degree and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience as a medical scribe or in a related field.
