TEKsystems in partnership with leading Healthcare client seeking Medical Secretary Job Description + They see 50-60 patients per day + Will be utilizing EPIC software to schedule patients for surgeries + Answer phones + Will be getting pre-authorizations for insurance for patients before them come in for surgeries, appointments, check ups + Will be calling Dr offices/hospitals for pre-op results + Will be verifying insurance on a daily basis + Must be very knowledgeable in insurance companies and the process + Will be calling dirs. clinics to get customer scans + medical records Skills customer service, patient scheduling, healthcare, insurance verification, epic, surgical scheduling, surgery scheduling Additional Skills & Qualifications + Must have at least 1+ years working in Med Sec/Surgery Scheduler/Front Desk/Scheduling role within hospital OR High Volume medical clinic + IDEAL to have used EPIC before + Must have a High School Diploma + Must be comfortable working with difficult patients coming in the door + Must have EXCELLENT customer service skills Experience Level Entry Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50/hr.
