Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Hospital Administration or related field or CPCS (Certified Credentialing Specialist)CPMSM (Certified Professional Medical Services Management) certified.Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years management experience in Medical Staff Services

Working knowledge of medical staff/provider credentialing concepts and comprehensive knowledge of state, federal regulatory requirements and accreditation standards relating to the organized medical staff, preferred.CPCS (Certified Credentialing Specialist)CPMSM (Certified Professional Medical Services Management)Key Responsibilities:
Oversees the operations of the Essentia Health credentialing team.Implements and ensures ongoing review and updates to medical staff policies. Analyzes reports on applications and credentialing status to identify trends and to ensure continuous improvement of the credentialing process.Coordinates the management of the credentialing database and ensures data integrity in partnership with the System’s Analyst. Involved in the review and oversight of delegated credentialing agreements.Directs team meetings and is responsible for the oversight of day-to-day functions of the credentialing team. Oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, enforcement of internal procedures and controls, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
