**Pharmacy Technician II**
_Texas Health Medical Support- Infusion team is looking for a skilled Pharmacy Technician ready to further develop their skills and knowledge. Is that you?_
**Work location: Texas Health Medical Support -** Compounding Pharmacy 1100 Bridgewood Drive Fort Worth, TX 76112
**Work hours:** Full time (40hours) Day shift – Rotating weekends, holidays and on-call requirements
**Here’s What You Need**
Education
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Experience
· 6 Months experience in a Texas Health hospital pharmacy preferred
· Experience compounding TPNs, IV syringes, IVPBs and elastomeric balls strongly preferred
Licenses and Certifications
+ RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required
+ IV Certification strongly preferred
**What You Will Do**
· Functionality requiring additional competency above Tech I, may require less supervision than a Tech I
· Autonomous responsibility either with record keeping or as a single point of contact outside the department
· Advanced technology expertise and ownership
· Delegated functions of pharmacy leadership (manager or lead technicians)
· Timely and accurate preparation, delivery to the nursing units/appropriate departments & storage of medications, including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so, varies by location.
· Ensuring accuracy of one's own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies, and other documentation. Must reflect consistently departmental quality improvement and patient safety standards, programs and initiatives. 10%
· Ongoing professional development and growth, leads by example, perpetuates accountability, manages own time.
· Communicate effectively, develop positive working relationships and role model teamwork that reflects the Texas Health Promise Behaviors. Trains new employees on routine tasks, under the direction of designated personnel.
· Manages own time and shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies. Validates competency completion for new employees.
