The Medical Technologist will do the following:- Play a crucial role in the patient care process by conducting both moderate and high complexity tests.- Evaluate, interpret, and document test results.- Identify when corrective measures are necessary and apply effective solutions.- Operate in a dynamic laboratory setting with exposure to biological and chemical hazards.- Uphold safety standards, ensure compliance, and maintain quality control.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology; or Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Biological, or Physical Science with 1 year of Medical Technology trainingAn active Tennessee MLT/MT licensure (must secure within 90 days of hire)1 year of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testingCertification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalentStrong reading, writing, and analytical skillsAbility to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
