The primary purpose of the Medical Technologist Hematology position is to independently perform
routine and complex laboratory analyses; assume responsibility for procedural and system controls, problem solving, teaching andsupervision under direction. Provides physicians with accurate and reliable analytical results necessary for the diagnosis/treatment of patients.

Responsibilities Performs and demonstrates proficiency in all applicable lab testing and analyses the lab proceduresEvaluates and reports results accurately to appropriate personnelPerforms “STAT” ProceduresPerforms and logs maintenance procedures for equipmentPerforms other related duties as assigned Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or a related field. ASCP certification or equivalent is preferred.
