As a member of the Eurofins BPT Columbia team, you’ll work alongside respected technical experts dedicated to scientific excellence in a process driven regulatory compliant environment.   Work for this position is primarily performed at the laboratory bench, in biosafety cabinets, and at a computer in the lab. The Principal Scientist will be responsible for maintaining the Lab and the below tasks. + Prepare and create test article extracts, test solutions, quality controls, and standards in accordance with directions. + Efficiently carry out procedures necessary to complete each project with minimal supervision. + Actively assist in development and execution of novel testing protocols and overall assay development. + Meticulously maintain precise records in accordance with good laboratory practices. + Assist in writing of reports. + Follow all PSL safety requirements. + Oversee all laboratory assays and day to day procedures. + Create and maintain the lab’s testing schedule. + Other duties as assigned. + At least 1 year with GLP/GMP lab experience is required. + At least 1 year with a lab position. + A B.S. degree or equivalent experience in laboratory skills such as cell culture or biology is preferred. + The individual holding this position must be of the highest integrity and have a very strong sense of responsibility. The individual must be well organized, capable of independent study completion, adapting to a broad spectrum of responsibilities and able to maintain meticulous and accurate records.
