Location: Jacksonville, FL

Days: Nonday - Friday

Hours:  7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (flexible)

Full-time: Benefit Eligible

In this role, you will:

Perform a vital part of the patient care process through moderate and high complexity testingAnalyze, review, and report testing results from blood, tissue/cellular samplesEnsure clinical testing is performed according to documented lab procedures and best practices, and prioritized in order to meet or exceed TATRecognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions.Appropriately document and escalate non-conformance to the Molecular Supervisor or DirectorUnderstand all workflows within the department and offer recommendations to improve processes and assist with implementing new methods or process improvementAssist with inventory processMaintain CAP Survey documentationAssist with creation of standard operating procedures (SOP) and modification of existing SOPsWork in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazardsChampion safety, compliance, and quality control

All you need is:

Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology; or Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Biological, or Physical Science with 1 year of Medical Technology training3+ years of pertinent molecular laboratory experience performing high complexity testing including extensive molecular biology skills (sample prep, DNA extraction, PCR, real-time PCR, next-generation sequencing) and related technical knowledgeCertification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalentFlorida state Clinical Laboratory Personnel licenseStrong reading, writing, and analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams.Ability to operate general laboratory equipment and computer programs, including but not limited to: LIMS, Excel, automated analyzers, robotic liquid handlers, centrifuges, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms.
