Job DescriptionThe Medical Writing Manager, Publications will play a crucial role in the development, tracking, and communication of scientific and clinical research findings related to precision oncology research. This individual will work closely with the cross-functional teams including, the MSL team, researchers, clinicians, external authors, and other stakeholders to produce high-quality, accurate, and compliant documentation, including research manuscripts, abstracts, clinical study reports, and other scientific communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Write, edit, and review scientific manuscripts, abstracts, posters, presentations, and other documents for publication in peer-reviewed journals and presentation at scientific conferences.Conduct thorough literature reviews to support the development of research projects and clinical studies.Collaborate with cross-functional team members including, MSLs, researchers, clinicians, statisticians, external authors, and other team members to ensure the accuracy and clarity of scientific content.Ensure all documents comply with regulatory guidelines, ethical standards, and company policies.Manage multiple writing projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to deadlines.Participate in quality control and review processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all written materials.QualificationsTypically requires a university degree and typically 8 years of related experience; 6 years and a Master’s degree; 3 years and a PhD; or PharmD/MD.Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills within Oncology and/or Diagnostics field.Strong understanding of scientific research methodologies and clinical trial processes.Proficiency in literature search databases and reference management software.Excellent project management and organizational skills.Understanding of journal requirements for publications.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.Experience in diagnostics or oncology research.Publication record in peer-reviewed journals.Knowledge of statistical analysis and data interpretation.Experience with medical writing software and tools.Additional InformationHybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $157,800 to $213,030. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations for the posted role with the exception of any locations specifically referenced below (if any).
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.
Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
