Medicare Sales Manager
General Description: Manage an inside sales team focused on selling Medicare insurance products. Develop and implement strategic sales and distribution plans to achieve sales/revenue goals. Responsibilities:• Responsible for full-cycle recruitment, management, and development of assigned team members. • Provide leadership and coaching to staff to generate revenue and meet sales goals. • Develop training program to build on sales team knowledge of products and competitors. • Develop and maintain department budget.  • Collaborate with carriers to ensure underwriting guidelines are being adhered to.• Work with internal departments on day-to-day operations of the organization. Develop and implement new lead generation strategies. Assist with sales issues.• Assist with marketing and business plans to support sales strategies.• Keep current of changes in insurance law and the market that impact clients.• Manage prospecting activity through company sales tracking system.• Participate in meetings and workshops as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • 2 years + of sales experience in insurance industry.• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.  • Proven ability to perform in a sales-focused, results-oriented environment working with a team required. Experience managing a team of inside sales staff preferred. • Must hold life and health insurance license.• Detail-oriented. Strong organizational skills and problem-solving ability. • Ability to analyze and interpret data.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel.  • Develop working knowledge of Emerson Rogers and My Benefit Advisor product line, insurance concepts, and proprietary USI technologies.
Physical Demands:Work is performed in a climate-controlled office environment with minimal noise and limited to no exposure to chemicals or toxins. Employees operate office equipment including telephone - headset, computer, computer monitors, keyboard, mouse, copier, scanner, and mail machine. Physical tasks of job include walking, sitting, standing, bending, and typing.
