Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._ **Responsibilities:** Medication Access Specialist Join the University of Rochester’s Specialty Pharmacy team as a Medication Access Specialist (MAS) and play a vital role in ensuring patients receive their specialty medications. This position focuses on coordinating medication access, navigating insurance and financial assistance programs, and facilitating communication between patients, pharmacists, and clinic staff. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Ensure accurate and compliant documentation. + Handle inbound and outbound calls, resolving issues efficiently. + Assist patients with financial support and prior authorization for specialty medications. + Advocate for patients by enrolling them in specialty pharmacy programs and coordinating medication deliveries. + Maintain high patient satisfaction, report errors, and support new team member training. **QUALIFICATIONS:** **Healthcare or pharmacy experience preferred but not required.
