Position Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional and personalized patient care and pharmacy consulting services; advise and guide with empathy, confidentiality, and diligence Build effective relationships with local physicians and medical community to ensure accurate and safe dispensing of medication to patients Communicate effectively with Patient and other care providers on treatment team Embrace a deep understanding of pharmacy operations and a drive for continual improvement, learning, and leading to provide the best possible patient care and empower the pharmacy team’s development Navigate Financial assistance Programs and compliance standards to assist patients with difficulties Collect data from available sources to assist with Prior authorizations and denials. Stay informed of regulations, retail pharmacy best practices, and knowledge of specialty diseases such as Autoimmune, Oncology, Hepatitis C, HIV, and more. Provides and demonstrates expertise in a specialized area of pharmacy practice (operational and/or clinical). Leads the training and mentorship of pharmacists, pharmacy students, residents, technicians, nurses and physicians Leads in preceptorship of pharmacy students and/or residents Effectively and proactively intervenes in conflicts between pharmacy and medical staff regarding drug therapy issue resolutions. Complies with all regulatory standards. Works with the Pharmacy Director and Operations/Clinical Manager to identify and develop processes to meet or exceed all regulatory standards. Participates in quality and regulatory reviews and audits. Assists in implementation of clinical and operational process changes. Assists in providing feedback with staff performance evaluations Acts as manager in charge as assigned Leads the development, implementation, and monitoring of pharmacy operations initiatives (operational/clinical) Develops and reviews pharmacy policies and proceduresQualifications:
Registered Pharmacist in the State of Florida WITH required Board Certification for a Pharm D. Board Certification in specialty area of practice preferred. Pharm.D. from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy or B.S. Pharmacy Degree from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy WITH a required Board Certification. Specialized Residency (PGY-2), or Fellowship in the clinical service specialty practice area, or equivalent practice experience (completion of 4 years of practice experience in the specialized area or completion of a PGY-1 Residency plus 2 additional years of practice experience in the specialized area)-Preferred Track record of exceptional performance in leadership, clinical practice, research, and education in specialty area of practice. Fully meets ASHP Residency Preceptor Requirements. Board certification in ambulatory setting (BCAP) Transitions of care experience or equivalent disease state management experience Collaborative practice agreement experience.Benefits:
