Medior Windows System Administrator
Position Description:

Something new and exciting is coming to Czech Republic – are you ready to be part of it? We are expanding our GTO team to support our clients from all over the world to assure their safety, availability and smooth operations.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Server Management: Install, configure, and maintain Windows-based servers and associated applications.
• Monitoring and Maintenance: Perform regular system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes. Review system and application logs.
• Backup and Recovery: Manage backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect data, software, and hardware. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize server performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
• Patch Management: Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure/add new services as necessary.
• Documentation: Maintain documentation of server configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams to support network and system infrastructure, including providing support for virtualization and cloud environments.
• Support: Provide 2nd/3rd level support for server-related issues. Assist in the development and implementation of disaster recovery plans.
• Training and Development: Stay current with new technologies and best practices. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior administrators and support staff.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Education: (preferred) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Windows server administration.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent are preferred.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in Windows Server operating systems (2012, 2016, 2019, etc.).
o Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy.
o Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
o Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation.
o Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls).
o Experience with backup and recovery solutions.
o Good written and spoken English.

o Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Work Environment:
• This position may require occasional evening and weekend work.
• On-call rotation may be required to provide 24/7 support.
