Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.
Travel: 40% combined local, national and international
Requirements BS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline 0-3 years related experience in equipment design role Practical 3D CAD experience and proficiency, SolidWorks experience preferred Familiarity with mechanical and thermal analysis Knowledge of standard machining processes Good project management skills Successful experience working in a team environment Effective leadership, organization, and planning skills, with ability to handle changing priorities Excellent communications, interpersonal and influencing skills Ability to work with international teams across multiple initiatives that span various lines of business, geographic borders, time zones, and cultures Must be a self-starter, able to work in team environment and motivate others Desired Skills Technical understanding of heat transfer systems and structures Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing proficiency 2D CAD proficiency, AutoCAD experience preferred Project leadership Capable of interacting with plant operators, contract vendors and leading the installation of proposed mechanical systems Manufacturing plant experience Materials science experience Familiarity with metal and ceramic fabrication processes Strong verbal and written communication skills

The range for this position is $68,503.00 - $94,192.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
