About the TeamAt Nutanix, the Intelligent Operations team is a dynamic group of 9 skilled professionals dedicated to enhancing Day 2 operations through monitoring, automation, and remediation. With half of the team based in San Jose, CA, and the other half in India, we emphasize a collaborative atmosphere that fosters technical excellence and innovative problem-solving. Our primary objective is to create scalable, distributed services that improve the management efficiency and observability workflows of Nutanix infrastructure. We pride ourselves on our proactive approach to meeting customer needs in monitoring and remediation, ensuring that we are consistently pushing the boundaries of what is possible in this space.You will report to the Manager of Engineering, who values open communication and teamwork. The position offers a hybrid work setup, requiring you to be in the office for two days a week. This model allows for flexibility while still promoting face-to-face collaboration with your colleagues. Additionally, there are no travel requirements for this role, enabling you to focus on delivering high-quality solutions from your designated work location.

 

Your RoleDesign and develop scalable software components for the Nutanix Cloud Management product, focusing on performance and efficiency.Mentor a small team of 2-3 junior engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional growth.Implement the complete software development life cycle for assigned features, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.Collaborate closely with product management and UX teams to define functionality and align on customer use cases.Conduct regular code reviews and promote best practices to ensure code quality and maintainability.Establish and manage transparent communication with stakeholders regarding project progress, challenges, and solutions.Lead initiatives to innovate and enhance monitoring, automation, and remediation services for Day 2 operations.Set and achieve first-year objectives related to product enhancements, team development, and customer satisfaction metrics.

 

What You Will Bring3+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in AI/ML domains.Proficiency in Java and/or Go programming languages.Strong background in architecting and designing scalable software components.Experience mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative team environment.Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts, large data set management, and predictive analytics.Ability to write efficient, thread-safe, and high-performance code.Experience in fast-paced startup environments, preferably in scaling software products.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

 

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 124,800 and USD $ 249,600 per year.However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence.
