The Opportunity

 Our QA team is tasked with test planning, test scenario design, and test case development to assess and improve the overall quality of our products. The role encompasses influencing product design by leveraging the broad knowledge of the product portfolio and ensuring that a quality-first mindset is instituted within our development practices. Also, automation of complex tests that mimic customer environments and workloads to ensure performance and scalability. 


About the Team

At Nutanix, you will be a part of the Platforms team, a dynamic group spread out geographically. Despite the physical distance, the team is highly collaborative and supportive, fostering a great culture where employees can grow both professionally and personally.

You will report to the Senior Manager of the Platforms team. As for travel requirements, Nutanix does not have extensive travel obligations, allowing employees to focus on their work and personal growth within the company.

 How we work

This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2–3 days per week; however, certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.


Your Role

Writing and executing manual and automated test cases to ensure product reliability and scalabilityParticipate in the design phase and be able to come up with a test plan (working with seniors)Collaborating with a team of developers, peers, and product management (if needed) to understand the requirements Working closely with development engineers to detail and find the root cause of failuresFiling bugs and tracking them to closure

What You Will Bring

2–4 years of testing experience, preferably in a product-based companyBE or MS in Computer Science or related field.Experience in Test Automation in one of the programming languages: Python/Perl/C/C++/Java (Python preferred).Good understanding of networking concepts, protocols and OS fundamentalsExperience with Version Control System (GIT)Basic understanding of UNIX/Linux/WindowsComfortable working in a fast-moving, agile environmentPlus : Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes ecosystemPlus : Understanding testing of distributed/cloud-native systems/virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM
