Are you looking for a chance to work on a truly disruptive next generation life-saving product?  At Abbott, our Heart Failure division is recruiting a MEMS Process Development & Automation Engineer in Atlanta, GA, to develop and implement a suite of new manufacturing process as we grow the CardioMEMS portfolio. Primary ResponsibilitiesWork within a cross-functional team to design and implement custom equipment for MEMS manufacturing processesCollaboratively identify critical hardware and software requirementsDraft equipment and software specification documents and execute validation activitiesPerform failure mode analysis to identify root cause of manufacturing issues and implement solutions

Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related disciplines (advanced degree preferred)3+ years relevant experienceAbility to code in a variety of languages including C/C++, Labview, Python, and MATLABProficiency in mechanical design and rapid prototyping (3D Printing & CNC Machining)Familiarity with design of experiments methodology, and statistical analysisExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong organizational, planning, and time management abilitiesHighly self-motivated with the capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively

Preferred QualificationsExperience with RF electronics, including radio, Bluetooth, and NFC communicationElectronics circuit fabrication, including experience with microcontrollers and PCB designKnowledgeable in interfacing with database systems (SQL and Non-SQL)Hands on experience with semiconductor and MEMS manufacturing processes in a clean-room environmentStrong understanding of GMP principles and experience working in a highly regulated environmentExperience with Class II or III implantable medical device manufacturing

The base pay for this position is $57,300.00 – $114,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
