Position: Mental Health Clinical Therapist ILocation: St. Charles and NapervilleFull Time/Part Time: Per DiemHours: As needed-7:30am-4:00pmRequired Travel: With float between inpatient & outpatientProviding quality clinical therapeutic services to patient populations and their families/significant others. Serving as a member of the interdisciplinary team, supporting the organization's treatment program and philosophy and assuring the deliverance of quality treatment
What you will need:
Required Education, Skills and/or Experience:
Master’s Degree in Social work or a Master’s Degree in a recognized mental health field or a Bachelor’s Degree and completion of an approved substance abuse education program for assignment in the substance abuse area
Knowledge of developmental psychology, disease pathology and clinical needs of assigned population
Ability to maintain information which is highly confidential
Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical records documentation
Ability to demonstrate self-control in volatile or hostile situations
Ability to set therapeutic limits and maintain therapeutic distance with clients; maintains therapeutic boundaries with patients during treatment and following discharge
Preferred Education, Skills and/or Experience:
Minimum of two years of experience in a behavioral health settingRequired License and/or Certification:
Current State of Illinois licensure with a minimum of three letters which may include LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor), LSW (Licensed Social Worker), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), or LCP (Licensed Clinical Psychologist) unless primary patient population is chemical dependency when a CADC is required
Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross
